Eric S. Highland of HOSFU

What is HOSFU? What is HOSFU’s Purpose, and how did you come up with the idea, and start it?

HOSFU, which stands for “His Only Son For Us,” is a Limited Company founded in 2003 upon the Lord’s leading,
with the general purpose of spreading the Gospel around the world. In 2008, God granted more specific direction
regarding how we were supposed to spread His Name: through film – arguably the most powerful medium of communication
in existence.

Today, the stated purpose of HOSFU is simply “to promote Christ through the film industry.” HOSFU provides resources
through Christian-Movie.com (technical articles, film festival and workshop information, publicity for filmmakers and
actors, etc.), consulting and extensive networking help to Christians in media.

Does HOSFU have any big plans for the future?

That’s an understatement. God is constantly granting us a vision for how He wants us to expand HOSFU. It’s hard to keep
up with the way that the Lord is blessing the business. Although, Christian-Movie.com was launched in December 2008, and
publicized beginning in late January 2009, we are now in the top 350,000 websites on the internet and top 50,000 in the
U.S. (per Alexa.com). Our group on Facebook was created in March, and now has over 2,200 members – primarily Christians
connected to film in some way. This is an incredible testimony to God.

But as far as plans go, there are a lot in the works. We plan to launch a Casting Calls Page on Christian-Movie.com by the
end of the year, so Christian producers can post their calls and Christian actors can find work. A lot of the other projects
are still secret!

With you working for Cloud Ten Pictures, who maintains HOSFU when you’re unable to?

What a lot of people don’t know is that, in addition to heading up P.R. for Cloud Ten and being CEO/President of HOSFU,
I’m also on active duty as a federal law enforcement officer. I also minister through a local fellowship and have a wife
and four children. So, good question.

The truth is that I get most of the credit for what HOSFU does, but HOSFU’s Executive Project Manager, Brittany Hardy,
does over 95% of the work. I’m a gifted networker and God has blessed me in this, but if you want to know who maintains
and actually runs HOSFU on a day-to-day basis, then the answer without reservation is Brit.

Who are the members of the team behind HOSFU?

There are four co-founders of HOSFU: myself, my wife Marie, my best friend Kolan (also our Chief of Operations), and
Kolan’s wife, Lisa.

Dr. Wayne Barber (Living Grace Ministries, Hoffmantown Church) is HOSFU’s theological advisor, Brit runs the company,
Joseph Simmons is our Chief of Technology, and we also have two godly men – Gregory Elder and Brian White – who serve as
feedback providers and prayer warriors.

Where do you want to see HOSFU go in the future?

Honestly Travis, it’s not about what I want. HOSFU was founded at the Lord’s leading, redefined based on a vision that is
still too large for me to fully process, and grows day by day ONLY by His grace and through His strength and provision.

Ideally, we will continue to meet passionate and talented Christians in media all over the world, who have a desire to
promote Christ with excellence. My giftedness is networking, so I love to put these types of people together according to
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. The HOSFU team also has a heart to propel and encourage media professionals in their projects, by
providing resources and consulting services. Spiritual attack is fierce when an individual is working on something that
glorifies the Lord, and sometimes an encouraging word is all it takes to get past the day’s hurdle.
